Personal Leadership
My work
Explanation
In this example of the learning outcome 'personal leadership', I will show some of the things I did to improve in the ICT & Media Design field, including learning about Blender to familiarize myself with it and learning about JavaScript to improve. I also did a small exercise to help improve my understanding of CSS.
Action
First, I will be showing that I started practicing with the 3D tool Blender.
I installed Blender because I heard about it from my teacher and it seemed really interesting. So after I installed it I tried to play around with it, but this didn't go smoothly because I was completely unfamiliar with the software. I did, however, manage to create these two arches.
After this, I decided that it would be a better idea to follow a beginner's tutorial. After a little searching, I found a YouTube tutorial that seemed interesting.
The images above show the progress I made with the donut. The goal of this little project was to familiarize myself with Blender, and I made some steps in that direction, but I'm still far from capable.
Secondly, I will show the practice I've been doing for JavaScript.
I started a course on Code Academy. I am also watching some YouTube videos that help with understanding JavaScript more.
Lastly, I did a small CSS exercise.
Infinite loop exercise
In the images above, you can see the code for creating an infinite loop I followed a YouTube tutorial for this code, which I found while doing some research. The tutorial seemed like a good exercise, so I decided to give it a try. Here is the link to the video.
Reflection
For working with Blender, I'm not as actively working on mastering it. This is because a lot of other things are more important at the moment but in the future when I have some more free time, I do plan on getting to know this application better because if I do figure out how to use it I think I could make some really cool things.
For using JavaScript, I think I'm still a little far from being good at it but as this study continues I think I will get better at it from using it more.
