Hello, my name is Lila van den Heuvel

I'm 19 years old and currently in my third semester of ICT & Media Design. Creativity plays a huge role in my life, both in my studies and in how I experience the world around me.

Outside of design, I love watching movies, listening to music, traveling, and ice skating in the winter.

At home, I have a cat and a dog, as well as nine orchids that I somehow manage to keep alive. Orchids are fascinating to me—not only because they're beautiful, but because they thrive in the sunlight behind my bedroom window. That same sunlight fills my room with warmth, making it my favorite place to be.

That feeling of warmth and energy is what inspired my portfolio's orange theme. To me, orange is a color of creativity, enthusiasm, and transition—fitting for this moment in my journey. Just like the seasons shift from winter to summer, I'm growing, learning, and refining my skills.

This portfolio is a reflection of that journey. Through orange-tinted glasses, the world feels more vibrant, and so does my work.
